![]() ![]() ![]() I elected to go with the SSDNow 200V because it's 7.5mm height. ![]() Taking these same drives and putting them in newer systems (Gigabyte motherboards) resulted in no problems, but putting them back in the HP laptops and tablets resulted in the same problems. I started having random pauses that occurred with greater frequency over two weeks of testing with a simple Windows 7 Enterprise installation. The SF-2281 is used in the Vertex 3, Force series 3 and the Intel 330. It's great looking, good benchmarks, but sadly it's the one that started having problems first. The drives tested - Kingston SSDNow 100V, OCZ Vertex 3, Crucial m4, Corsair Force series 3, Kingston SSDNow 200V, OCZ Vertex Plus and the Intel 330. That is, the ones released AFTER the firmware updates from earlier this year. After what I found to be a problem between our hardware and the SandForce controllers and a few other items on the pro/con list, I opted to go with the Kingston SSDNow 200V. Ended up testing drives from Intel, Corsair, Crucial, OCZ and Kingston. Spent some time investigating SSD drives for our existing HP tablets and laptops at work.
